Fang Zhouzi, a blogger who has made a name for himself as a whisteblower of fraud in academic circles and who recently accused the popular writer Han Han of having some of his works written by others, has now himself been accused of plagiarism.

Sun Haifeng, a professor at Shenzhen University in southern China, recently wrote on his microblog that Fang plagiarized certain diagrams in his thesis, which was published in 2006.

"Fang has always been proud of his English ability... but he plagiarized diagrams and even wrongly translated some terms... He translated the colors of human skin 'dark' and 'light' in as 'night' and 'day' in Chinese," Sun wrote.

At the beginning of 2011, Fang had said that the thesis was badly proofread and thus contained some bad translations. As for the diagrams, they were from an English thesis, he said.

Fang once revealed that a former CEO of a company named Tang Jun held a diploma from a fake university. He recently accused best-selling writer Han Han of not being the author of the prize-winning essay he wrote as a 16-year-old which first brought him to public attention. Fang said it is impossible that a 16-year-old could cite works by writers like Turgenev in his early work. Fang claimed that Han Han's father, Han Renjun, is the author of his early novels, a claim for which Han is currently suing Fang.
